Morir de amor, García Lorca’s short life

Federico García Lorca was one of the greatest Spanish poets and dramatists.
He was born in Fuente Vaquero, a farming village in the province of Granada, his birthplace is now a museum. The house in Valderrubio where the Lorca family moved when he was a young boy is a also a museum.
During the time his studies including painting, literature, composition and piano: Federico García Lorca was an universal artist. When the Spanish Civil War broke out in 1936 García Lorca was arrested and shot without trial by a death squad of fascists, supporters of General Francisco Franco on August 19 or 20, 1936, in Alfacar closed to Granada. Significant controversy remains about the motives and details of Lorca’s murder but probably he paid with the life his love and dedication for the people and the republican institutions.
