Bar Marsella is a nearly 200-year-old bar, reputedly the oldest in Barcelona. Its location is on a corner of Carrer de la Pau in the neighborhood called the Barrio Chino or Raval. More than anything, Bar Marsella gets its ambience from its house drink: absinthe. Absinthe is a distilled, highly alcoholic, anise-flavored spirit derived from herbs.
